Savage &

Spies

Savage & Spies is the long-standing composer collaboration between composer/violinist, Patrick Savage, and Holeg Spies, one of France's leading electronica composers

PATRICK SAVAGE:

Savage’s composition is shaped by his sensibilities as an internationally-recognised virtuoso instrumentalist, exploring the limitless colour and subtlety afforded by physical instruments and the human voice.

HOLEG SPIES:

Spies' dazzling sonic imagination and restless curiosity have seen him explore and fuse together countless styles and musical traditions, his genre-defying art drawing inspiration from everything from Musique Concrète, ancient tribal spirituality, trance music and even the acoustics of cave systems.

IN COMBINATION:

Together, Savage & Spies focus on the creation of a unique sonic identity for every film score, often drawing on the sound world of the film itself in their work, their collaborative scoring, blurring the line between film music and sound design.

Their projects have been diverse, from the powerfully intimate Holocaust documentary, LE CHEMIN DES JUIFS, and the award-winning autobiographical feature by a sexual slavery victim, APARTMENT 407, to the cult horror THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE: THE FIRST SEQUENCE, the critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning psychological thriller, ABRUPTIO (Jordan Peele Robert Englund) and Sophia Banks' debut action-thriller, BLACK SITE (Michelle Monaghan/Jason Clarke/Jai Courtney)

For recording and other post production work, Savage & Spies have a close working relationship with Alhambra Studios, Rochefort, France
